Under the Nagara School, following three sub-schools emerged: 1. ODISHA SCHOOL In different parts of the Kalinga empire, this distinct style of temple architecture developed. Some of its features were: 🔸The exterior walls were lavishly decorated with intricate carvings, but interior walls were plain. 🔸There was no use of pillars in the porch. Iron girders were used instead to support the roof. 🔸The shikhara in the Odisha school was known as rekha deul. They were almost vertical roofs which suddenly curved inwards sharply.નાગર શૈલી હેઠળ, નીચેની ત્રણ પેટા શૈલીઓ ઉભરી આવી: 1. ઓડિશા શૈલી કલિંગ સામ્રાજ્યના વિવિધ ભાગોમાં, મંદિર સ્થાપત્યની આ વિશિષ્ટ શૈલીનો વિકાસ થયો. તેના કેટલાક લક્ષણો હતા:🔸બાહ્ય દિવાલો અટપટી કોતરણીથી ભવ્ય રીતે શણગારવામાં આવી હતી, પરંતુ અંદરની દિવાલો સાદી હતી.🔸મંડપમાં થાંભલાનો ઉપયોગ ન હતો. છતને ટેકો આપવા માટે તેના બદલે લોખંડના ગર્ડરનો ઉપયોગ કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો.🔸ઓડિશાની શાળામાં શિખરાને રેખા દેઉલ તરીકે ઓળખવામાં આવતી હતી. તે લગભગ ઊભી છત હતી જે અચાનક અંદરની તરફ ઝડપથી વળેલી હતી.
